So right now, I’m in my hometown of Mildura a small rather hot town in Victoria Australia, Its been a while since I’ve been back for anytime longer then 24 hours and I have to say I’m enjoying it and its good me thinking.
Would I move back to Mildura? – Probley not but I miss this. If I moved back to Mildura
- I would be near my family (including all extended family) something I really miss, every week there is a family event either BBQ, fishing or going out for dinner.
- I would be near my friends who are all in the one spot for the first time in 4 years.
- I’d be in the country where the land you buy is a quarter the price, and twice the size.
although they are pretty strong arguments for moving home.
- There is some pretty seedy characters in Mildura and a higher percentage of Dickheads here then in Melbourne
- Being near both my family and Nadine would be great but between the two of them there would be no time for just and Nadine, something I enjoy and I really hate being guilt tripped into doing stuff when all I want to do is watch TV with Nadine.
- The biggest point for not moving is work, or lack there of. I will never get a job in Mildura that pays as well as my job in Melbourne. Jobs is Mildura’s biggest problem (something I’m very passionate about but we’ll get to that another day.)
The bottom line, I remember the good times, Being with friends and laughing with family, spending time with Nadine, being by the water but the reality moving back will never work the way it would in my head. the place in my head is gone, Its changed its life & and you can’t go back, you can only move on. so where to?
