So its the end of the year and its that time where everybody is all like “its been a long year” and “I’m so thankful for the year and people and” bla bla bla you know what i mean. basically its a time in which we reflect on a year past, we plan parties and going out drinking or whatever and its going the be the biggest night ever with all your friends and see fireworks.
I have got a point I’m not all negative about this.
My point is everyone gets their hopes up to be awesome, then half their friends don’t turn up or the party sucked or the place you went to sucked or you waiting all night and no fireworks happened. and boom there goes your hopes and dreams. so Relax its not a big deal! ideally I would be with my Friends at the party they are throwing in our hometown playing PlayStation and knocking back a few brews but I have to work most of new years eve so I’m stuck in Melbourne. Going to head out to a mates party and have the best time i possibly could at the same time out of the 50+ people they invited only 5 are confirmed coming. 1 being me, then Nadine, him and his girl + 1. this proves my point. what he tried to make an awesome night wont be as planned but I’ll have fun (edit: 7 people at the party had an awesome time!) . I have no expectations. the problem is there is too much going on and everyone tries so hard to make it the best and everyone’s expectations are so high. its a load a crap and with that in mind spare a thought for a friend of mine. its her birthday on the 1st of Jan, no-one ever comes to the party because they have other plans.
Anyway.
Pre 2004, I used to celebrate the end of the year by reading though all the years emails from friends and piecing together “The year that waz” an epic tale of the major events surrounding our group of friends and I considered doing that again so here it is
:The year that was..
Nothing
The end”
it sure was an epic year of nothing, When I look back i did nothing. nothing really is all that new and nothing really has changed. A bad thing? not really, Boring? hell yes. This brings me to another thing that annoys me about new years and that’s the new years resolution but I’m not going to go there… instead I’m going to get to the reason why I felt the need to blog. This is my resolutions or more my bucket list of sorts.
This list is a list of things i wish to do in 2010 and if i don’t complete these things then i may as well kick the bucket because I’m not really doing anything. hence bucket list.

We’re crossing no 28 off this month aren’t we?
I’m also totally in for numbers 1, 2, 6, 10, 11, 12, 14, 15, 16, 17. 20, 27. 29 and 30.
Sounds like a pretty good list- and not totally unachievable- which is pretty unusual for a New Years list!
Amanda – we shall knock off at least 28 if not some of the others.
Jess – I thought about doing a list of 100 including some harder things then i was like nar, if i did nothing all last year what hope would i have of doing 100 things this year. so 30 will do.
[...] I wasn’t planning to make any real New Year’s Resolutions this year. However, the boyfriend did and it got me thinking seriously about a few of the things I want to achieve over the next couple [...]
